WGL Mission

The mission of the Westside Ladies' Golf League is to provide a supportive, recreational environment to play golf on a regular basis with the objective of improving skills and enhancing knowledge of game etiquette and regulations.

Members must play a minimum of 12 WGL Tuesdays during the year, from the week following the prior year’s Club Championship, up to and including the week before the current year’s Club Championship. (Please see the Dates to Remember section for this date).

Dues are $35 per year, due in January, and cover administrative costs, prizes and various expenses approved by the Board. After September, dues will be pro-rated. Completed membership forms and payment should be sent to the Membership Chairperson.

League play is every Tuesday. The first Tuesday of the month is a “Play Day” event, with a designated format chosen by the events coordinator(s). An awards luncheon will follow each Play Day.

Players are expected to make a reservation by NOON on the Sunday prior toWGL Tuesday play by calling or emailing the events coordinator(s). Players are asked to arrive at the club 30 minutes prior to the tee time. Failure to make a reservation may result in not being able to play; Cancellations must be made in advance of the tee time by contacting the events coordinator(s).

Play Schedule:

June – August 8:00 a.m. tee time
September – May 9:00 a.m. tee time

Pairings are made by the events coordinator(s) to ensure an efficient pace of play and to create friendships by playing with different partners each week. Special requests will only be honored for those bringing a guest.

Please enter your score each week on your personalized score sheet in WGL Playbook. These scores are entered in the WGL handicap system for use in WGL events and will be used as official scores and/or handicaps for tournaments, WGL handicaps and end-of-year awards. If your handicap is kept elsewhere, please make a copy of your scorecard and leave the scorecard for the events coordinator(s).

On regular play days, when a player reaches her maximum score on a hole, she will pick up. Such holes are scored as the ESC and an X, based on the following table:

9 or less Double bogey
10 through 19 7
20 through 29 8
30 through 39 9
40 and above 10

We are “going green,” so check your email regularly to stay up to date with WGL happenings!
